The Coca-Cola System’s operations in Nigeria supported approximately 160,200 jobs in 2024, highlighting the company’s wider contribution to the Nigerian economy.

According to a socio-economic impact assessment by consultancy Steward Redqueen, the company’s footprint extended well beyond its direct workforce. About 2,989 people were employed directly, while more than 157,200 indirect jobs were supported across agriculture, logistics, retail, hospitality and distribution.

The assessment indicates that for every direct Coca-Cola job, approximately 53 additional jobs were supported elsewhere in the Nigerian economy.

The findings underline the economic impact that large consumer-goods companies can generate through local manufacturing, procurement, distribution and retail networks.
