Polaris Bank has reaffirmed its commitment to youth empowerment and community development by supporting the 2025 Maracana Children’s Fest held at the iconic Maracana Stadium in Ajegunle, Lagos.

The grassroots festival, organised by the Nathaniel Idowu Foundation, drew over 3,000 children from primary and secondary schools, alongside their families and community leaders — transforming the event into a celebration of sports, creativity, and social inclusion.

Polaris Bank’s Commitment to Impact

Speaking on the bank’s involvement, Kayode Lawal, Managing Director of Polaris Bank (represented by Head of Brand Management & Corporate Communication, Rasheed Bolarinwa) said:

“We are proud to support the Maracana Children’s Fest and contribute to such a meaningful community initiative. This event allowed us to connect with the next generation and their families, promoting both youth development and financial inclusion. Our support for this event reflects Polaris Bank’s commitment to supporting communities and empowering young people through initiatives that align with our values.”

Support Beyond Sponsorship

Polaris Bank’s involvement went beyond financial support. The bank contributed meals, palliative food packages, and branded mementoes for participants and their families — reinforcing its position as a socially responsible institution dedicated to creating real impact at the grassroots level.

The event aligns with Polaris Bank’s broader vision of inclusive growth and empowering underserved communities through targeted initiatives in education, financial literacy, and social development.
