Nigeria’s top economic regulators and private sector leaders are rallying behind a new documentary series aimed at reshaping the nation’s global image and spotlighting reforms under President Bola Tinubu.

A New Nigeria Is Here (ANNIH) Season 2, produced by Lead Projects Africa, will premiere on August 12 across major TV networks including Channels Network, News Central Africa, CNN, CNBC Africa, AIT, TVC and Arise News, and stream worldwide on YouTube.

Key partners include the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Bank of Industry (BOI), National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), and Sahara Energy.

“This isn’t just a documentary series; it’s a cinematic journey into Nigeria’s transformative odyssey and economic drivers under President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope,” said Project Coordinator Jide Peters, adding that the project has endorsement from the Presidency and executive oversight from the Coordinating Minister of the Economy’s office.

The series will explore Nigeria’s “Fennaissance” — a period of financial and economic renaissance powered by fiscal reforms, infrastructure development and digital innovation. Each 30-minute episode is expected to reach an estimated 300 million viewers globally.

Public and private sector voices will feature prominently, including:

  • Government leaders: Wale Edun (Coordinating Minister of the Economy), Benjamin Okezie Kalu (Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives), Adebayo Adelabu (Minister of Power), Ayodele Olawande (Minister of Youth Development), Festus Keyamo (Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development), Senator John Owan Enoh (Minister of Sports Development).

  • Private sector executives: Olugbenga Agboola (Flutterwave CEO), Samuel Chen (Felicity Solar CEO), Olu Olufemi-White (Alami Capital CEO), Kola Adesina (Sahara Group GMD), Mitchell Elegbe (Interswitch CEO), Samuel Ogbodo (SUNU Assurances Nigeria CEO).

  • Regulatory chiefs: Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi (NITDA DG), Cornelius Oluwasegun Adebayo (NALDA ES), Farouk Ahmed (NMDPRA CEO).

  • Security leaders: Kayode Egbetokun (Inspector-General of Police), Bashir Adewale Adeniyi (Nigeria Customs CG).

Supporters emphasised the campaign’s role in driving economic optimism. Innoson Group Chairman, Chief Innocent Chukwuma, urged Nigerians to buy local products, while BOI MD Dr Olasupo Olusi said he envisioned a country where “every young person believes this country will work for them.”

FIRS Chairman Dr Zacch Adedeji called for collective action to support the President’s vision to “banish poverty in Nigeria,” and Information Minister Mohammed Idris Malagi described the initiative as “an investment in the future of our children and grandchildren.”

Peters stressed that the goal is to replace outdated stereotypes with compelling narratives of policy reforms, investment opportunities and public–private collaboration.

“Our focus is to project, without compromise, the outstanding deliverables of the nation’s public and private sectors on all local and international platforms,” he said.
