NIPCO celebrates long-serving employees
The Managing Director of NIPCO Plc, Suresh Kumar, has reaffirmed the company’s commitment to recognising and rewarding employees, describing them as its most valuable asset.
Speaking at the 2024 & 2025 Long Service Awards ceremony in Lagos, Kumar commended the dedication of award recipients, including some who have served since the company’s inception. He noted that the event underscored NIPCO’s core values and highlighted the workforce’s pivotal role in the company’s success across all business segments.
Despite challenges in Nigeria’s downstream sector, Kumar expressed confidence in the company’s ability to thrive, attributing much of its growth to the loyalty and diligence of long-serving staff. He encouraged honorees to mentor younger colleagues and align with NIPCO’s strategic diversification into the hydrocarbon and hospitality sectors.
“The diversification programme aims not only to enhance the fortunes of our promoters but also to improve the well-being of our expanding workforce,” he said, adding that more growth opportunities remain across all lines of business.
Responding on behalf of the awardees, Khamal Badmus, who received the 20 Years Meritorious Service award, thanked the management for the recognition, noting that the annual event boosts staff morale and motivates employees to strive for excellence.
