Leadway, Ecobank to broaden insurance access
In a landmark move poised to redefine access to financial protection in Nigeria, Leadway Assurance Company Limited has formally entered into a strategic bancassurance partnership with Ecobank Nigeria Limited. The collaboration aims to deliver comprehensive insurance solutions to Ecobank’s internal and external stakeholders — including employees, retail customers, and small business owners.
Announced during a launch event held on Friday, the partnership represents a significant leap forward in advancing financial inclusion by embedding insurance access into everyday banking experiences.
According to the joint statement, the integrated service model will enable Ecobank customers to seamlessly access a broad portfolio of Leadway’s insurance products, ranging from life and health cover to motor and home protection — all from within the bank’s existing touchpoints.
