Heirs Energies, Africa’s largest indigenous-owned integrated energy company, has announced that its Chief Executive Officer, Osa Igiehon, will represent the organisation at the prestigious 2025 US-Africa Energy Forum, scheduled to take place in Houston, Texas.

The high-level forum is set to convene US and African policymakers, financiers, and private sector leaders, providing a collaborative platform to discuss investment opportunities, innovation, and partnerships that are shaping Africa’s rapidly evolving energy landscape. The announcement was made in an official statement released on Monday.

At the event, Igiehon will be delivering an Executive Insight and participating in the Explorers Town Hall session. During these engagements, he will be sharing Heirs Energies’ strategic perspective on how Africa can responsibly and sustainably unlock its full energy potential.

The company’s participation at the forum underscores its bold mission: driving Africa’s transformation from energy deficiency to energy sufficiency.

“At Heirs Energies, we believe Africa’s exploration future will be written in two stories: frontier plays waiting to be unlocked, and brownfield excellence – the careful stewardship of fields that have been producing for decades,” said Igiehon.

He further emphasised that African-owned companies can play a pivotal role in the continent’s energy narrative by responsibly managing assets, upholding world-class operational standards, and delivering shared prosperity.

Heirs Energies is actively investing in energy infrastructure and innovation aimed at delivering reliable, accessible energy to homes, industries, and communities. A key part of this strategy is its gas commercialisation programme, which currently supplies gas to three power plants in Eastern Nigeria. The company continues to expand its infrastructure to support Nigeria’s electrification agenda.

“Every molecule must count – not just for production, but for powering homes, fueling industry, and setting a benchmark for what indigenous operators can achieve,” Igiehon added.

The 2025 US-Africa Energy Forum will focus on enabling a conducive environment for investment across hydrocarbons, natural gas, and renewable energy. Heirs Energies’ involvement in the forum signals its deep-rooted commitment to fostering strategic partnerships that can deliver long-term energy security for Africa, while aligning with global sustainability goals.
