Madonna University appoints Adote to Board of Trustees
Madonna University, Nigeria, has appointed technology strategist Mr Rock Adote to its Board of Trustees, a move aimed at strengthening the institution’s digital governance and enhancing its technological infrastructure.
Adote brings over a decade of experience in digital transformation, enterprise identity management, and cybersecurity expertise that stakeholders believe will help the university build more secure and efficient digital systems for academic administration and institutional operations.
According to a statement on Tuesday, his appointment also reflects Madonna University’s growing commitment to integrating technology-driven governance into higher education, addressing critical areas such as data security, identity management, and the adoption of modern digital systems.
As a trustee, Adote will contribute to institutional oversight and policy direction, helping guide long-term development initiatives and ensuring the university remains responsive to global trends in education and technology.
Speaking on his appointment, Adote said: “Digital transformation will play a critical role in shaping the future of academic administration, research, and learning environments. I am honoured to contribute my expertise to support Madonna University’s growth and innovation.”
Other newly appointed members of the Board of Trustees include Sir Nwagwu Emeka, a geophysicist; Chief Arthur Okafor, SAN; Professor Anagboso Osita, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Madonna University; Mrs Ike Angela Unaoaku of the African Travel Association; Barrister Augustine Obo; and Rev. Fr Stephen Nwatah.
Education analysts noted that Adote’s inclusion underscores the university’s commitment to innovation, as well as the importance of strengthening leadership with professionals who understand the intersection of technology and institutional growth.
With Adote’s expertise in digital systems and cybersecurity, Madonna University is expected to further enhance its digital capabilities, reinforce its security frameworks, and position itself as a forward-looking centre of learning within Nigeria’s higher education landscape.
